1. Who can use AppAdSwap
You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you sign up for a company, you confirm that you're allowed to act for it. One person or company, one account.
2. How the exchange works
You place our widget on your site. For every 10 views of other members' apps it shows, you earn 8 views for your own apps; the other 2 fund the network. New accounts get 50 views when the widget first goes live on a site. Clicks are reported to you but never paid.
A view counts when a card was actually visible to a real visitor, within the limits described in How it works. Views you earn are held for 72 hours before you can spend them, so that we can check them for fraud.
3. Views are not money
Views are an internal unit of the exchange. They have no cash value, can't be paid out, sold or transferred to another account, and can only be spent on showing your own approved apps in the network. We can't promise a particular number of views, clicks or visitors, or when your views will be delivered.
4. Your app
- Every app is reviewed by a person before it's shown. It has to meet the guidelines. We can reject an app, or pause an approved one that breaks them later, and will tell you why.
- You're responsible for your app, your card and the page it links to, including that they're lawful and don't infringe anyone's rights.
- You allow us to show your app's name, tagline, icon, button text and link on sites in the network, on Discover and in our own marketing of the network, for as long as the app is in your account.
- Cards that do well may be named on the weekly board, on Discover and in our emails. How a card is scored is explained on How it works.
5. Your site
- Use the snippet from your dashboard, only on domains you've added and control.
- Cards are advertising. The "Sponsored" label must stay visible and readable; don't hide, cover or remove it.
- Place cards where people can actually see them. Don't put them in hidden or zero-size elements, stack several on top of each other, or reload them automatically.
- Don't put the widget on pages whose content breaks the guidelines.
- Mention the widget in your site's privacy policy. Our privacy page has a paragraph you can adapt.
- Makers whose apps your sites show can see your site's domain and how often their card was shown there. Makers you trade views with also see the names of your approved apps.
- You can remove the widget at any time.
6. No cheating
Don't generate views or clicks that don't come from real, uninfluenced visitors: no bots, scripts, automated reloads, traffic exchanges, paid or incentivised clicks, and no clicking or viewing cards yourself to earn views. If we find invalid traffic, we can withhold or reverse the views it earned, pause your sites or apps, and in serious or repeated cases close your account. You can ask us to explain and reconsider any such decision.
7. Our service
The exchange is free. We work to keep it running but don't guarantee that it's always available or error-free. We may change features, the exchange rate or the bonuses for the future; views you already earned keep their value, and we'll tell you by email before a change that disadvantages you takes effect.
8. Paid products
You can buy Pro (a monthly or yearly subscription), view packs and the Launch Boost under Billing in your dashboard. The price is shown in euros at checkout, with any VAT that applies. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
- View packs. The views are credited to your account as soon as the payment is confirmed. They don't expire, and they're subject to section 3 like any other views.
- Launch Boost. The Boost credits its 10,000 views to your account as soon as the payment is confirmed, and for 7 days your app is shown ahead of other apps until those views have been delivered, and featured, labelled as sponsored, on Discover. We can't promise how many views are delivered in that week, because that depends on how much traffic the network has. Views that haven't been delivered stay in your balance.
- Pro. Pro renews every month or year until you cancel under Billing. You can cancel at any time, and Pro then stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Its bonus views are credited when each payment is confirmed; the yearly plan credits all twelve months at once. We don't refund the unused part of a period, unless the law says we have to.
- Refunds. If we charged you twice, or paid views didn't arrive, write to us and we'll put it right. If a payment is refunded in full, the views it bought are taken back from your balance.
Right of withdrawal. If you're a consumer, you can usually withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Views, and the Boost, are digital content and services that we deliver immediately. By buying them you ask us to start straight away, and you confirm that your right of withdrawal ends once we have delivered, as far as the law allows this. For Pro, if you withdraw within 14 days you pay only for the time you already used. To withdraw, email krinapps25@gmail.com.
9. Liability
We're fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we're liable only if we breach an obligation that makes the service possible in the first place and that you can rely on, and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Beyond that, we're not liable for slight negligence.
10. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time under Settings; unspent views lapse with it, and a Pro subscription is cancelled. We can end the agreement with 14 days' notice by email, or immediately for good cause, such as fraud or a serious breach of these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll email you any change at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't object before then, the new terms apply; we'll point this out in the email. If you object, either of us can end the agreement.
12. Law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. If you're a merchant, the courts at our place of business have jurisdiction.
